• The Utah Arts Council will host a seminar on "Preparing for Your Exhibit" Tuesday evening from 6-8 at the Zephyr Room of the Rio Grande Depot. The guest presenters will be Amanda Finlayson, programing and development manager, Art Access, VSA Arts of Utah, and Joey Behrens, Utah artist. There is no fee, but registration is required. • Williams Fine Art and Zions Bank will host "An Evening With Valoy Eaton" Wednesday evening from 6:30-9:30 at Williams Fine Art (200 E. South Temple). Eaton will present 50 of his most recent paintings. Special guest Sen. Orrin Hatch will discuss Eaton's work. To RSVP call 534-0331.

• The Utah Arts Council announces a call for entries for its statewide annual competition and exhibition. "Utah 2007: Mixed Media & Works on Paper" will feature original works by Utah artists.
