PROVO Police pulled a man out of a trash bin early Saturday, then arrested him for possession of drugs.
The 30-year-old Spanish Fork man was found unresponsive in a Provo garbage bin just before 2 a.m. Saturday due to alleged intoxication, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed in 4th District Court.
Officers had to physically drag the man out of the Dumpster and could smell alcohol on his breath, according to the affidavit.
The paramedics had to cut off the man's clothes because they were soiled, according to the affidavit.
In those clothes officers found a small package containing a white powdery substance that field tested positive for cocaine.
After the man was medically cleared and became sober, he admitted that he had used the cocaine and drank a lot of tequila and other alcohol, according to the affidavit.
