WEST VALLEY A Community Resource Fair will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at West Valley City Hall, 3600 S. Constitution Blvd.
"This event is intended to get important safety information into the hands of our residents," said Craig Thomas, manager of Neighborhood Services.
The event, sponsored by the city's Neighborhood Nights program, will provide information about the Neighborhood Watch Program, home security, child safety, immunizations, Internet safety and senior services and youth services, among other things.
West Valley's Neighborhood Nights is a monthlong effort organized by the city's public-relations office to raise awareness of crime prevention in the community.
Other upcoming events include mobile patrol training Aug. 22 at City Hall, 3600 S. Constitution Blvd., to help residents expand their Neighborhood Watch Programs, and a Safety Fair at the Fitness Center, 5415 W. 3100 South, on Aug. 29, which will focus on keeping children safe at home and on the streets.
