The Utah Board of Tourism Development has approved nearly $2.25 million in funding for nonprofit tourism groups.
The board received 48 applications from nonprofit groups throughout the state and approved funding on Friday for 43 of those groups. The money will be used to promote tourism and Utah's new "Life Elevated" theme nationally and internationally.
