Auditions

THE BALLET WEST ACADEMY will hold auditions for children ages 6 through 18 on Saturday at the Capitol Theatre, 50 W. 200 South.

Audition times are as follows:

Dancers ages 6 to 8, 1:30-2 p.m.; dancers ages 9-12, 2-3 p.m.; dancers ages 13-18, 3-5 p.m.

Arrive 30 minutes before your audition time to register. There is no registration fee (323-6912).

ODYSSEY DANCE THEATRE is holding auditions for dancers for its upcoming Halloween production, "Thriller." Auditions will take place at the Pointe Performing Arts Academy, 55 N. 1400 West, Lindon, on Friday, Aug. 24.

Audition times are as follows:

Dancers ages 9 to 13, 3 p.m.; dancers ages 14 and older, 6 p.m.

Dancers must be available for all rehearsals that begin in mid-September. Performances will run from Oct. 11-31 at Weber State University's Browning Center in Ogden and the University of Utah's Kingsbury Hall. For more information, contact Odyssey Dance Theatre at 495-3262

AUDITIONS for an award-winning children and youth pop, rock, Broadway, Country and swing touring group will be Saturday and Aug. 25 at Encore @ the Pointe Performing Arts Academy, 9310 S. 700 East, Sandy.

THE INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S CHOIR is looking for singers ages 6 through 16. The choir, which spotlights music from an array of cultures and languages and is known for its authentic costumes, has performed for dignitaries from around the world.

It represented North America during the World Choir Olympics in China and has performed with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, the Utah Symphony and the Utah Opera.

It is currently preparing a joint production with China Central Television and the Galaxy Children's Art Troupe.
