Distracted by 'facts'

I found the questions of the new Sunstone editor, John Dehlin, "interesting" (Aug. 7). If he didn't know Joseph Smith had multiple wives, he wasn't paying attention in seminary or church. As far as polygamy being practiced after the Manifesto, I have yet to see a people as a whole completely change the way they live overnight. The church leaders discouraged the practice and told their people to immediately cease living polygamy. However, people, by nature, do not always do what they are told.

If Mr. Dehlin and his associates are going to have questions, and if they truly seek to know truth, I would suggest not getting distracted by "facts" that have no basis or eternal significance.
