From Deseret News archives:
Lohan may be at Sundance rehab center
The Internet was abuzz Monday with reports that Lindsay Lohan, 21, has checked into Cirque Lodge, the Sundance-based treatment center for the rich and famous.
CBS television's "The Insider," citing "sources within the facility," reported that Lohan checked into the rehabilitation center over the weekend.
Lohan's representative told US Weekly the star is recieving "medical treatment" but would not confirm her location.
"It would be counterproductive to the medical treatment she's receiving to release Lindsay's wheareabouts at this time," Leslie Sloane Zelnik was quoted as saying in the magazine.
If the reports are true, it would be the third round of alcohol rehabilitation for the movie star, who has been arrested twice for drunken driving.
After her first arrest over Memorial Day weekend, Lohan spent 46 days at Promises rehab treatment facility in Malibu. She was again arrested for drunken driving less than two weeks after checking out of the rehab center.
Lohan, who was released on $25,000 bail, is scheduled to appear in court in Santa Monica, Calif., Aug. 24.
After Lohan's second arrest, her attorney, Blair Berk, said her client had "relapsed" and needed "medical care," E! Online reported following the star's second arrest.
Cirque Lodge would not confirm or deny Monday if Lohan was checked in at the facility.
Of course, the treatment center is known for being mum about celebrity patients.
Aside from a menu of salmon and steak, spectacular mountain views and jacuzzi-style bathtubs, the center's discretion is one of its biggest draws.
With a $30,000 price tag for a 30-day stay, Cirque Lodge caters to the rich and the famous.
Rumored to be among the facility's former guests: Mary-Kate Olsen, "Baywatch" star David Hasselhoff and country singer Jo Dee Messina.
