Powerzoning is asking the public and hospitals across the state to submit nominations of families with sick children to receive technology systems that chill homes by moving cool air from basements to the rooms above.
The initiative is a partnership between Powerzoning and nonprofit group Angel's Hands Foundation.
Eligible families must have a child under age 18 who is sensitive to heat or cold because of an illness and bear a financial burden due to their child's medical bills.
The nomination deadline is 5 p.m. Aug. 17. Nominations may be submitted at www.powerzoning.com/families-in-need.htm. Five to 10 families in Utah will receive systems.
