Thirteen patents were awarded to Utah inventors on July 10. U.S. patents are granted each Tuesday. The new patents include:

• Vertical and horizontal adjustable hinge assembly. Brent Bonham, Springville. Filed Oct. 25, 2004, claiming priority to provisional patent Application No. 60/513,668, filed Oct. 23, 2003. Patent No. 7,240,400.

• High frequency thermoacoustic refrigerator. Orest G. Symko, Salt Lake City; Ehab Abdel-Rahman, Cairo, Egypt. Assigned to University of Utah Research Foundation, Salt Lake City. Filed Oct. 1, 2004, claiming priority to multiple prior patent applications. Patent No. 7,240,495.
