LDS pamphlet misquoted

Craig L. Steiner (Readers' Forum, Aug. 8) is misquoting the LDS Church's statements in the pamphlet "God Loveth His Children." The advice being given there is not to others but to a person with same-gender attraction who wishes to fight those feelings and stay in line with the Gospel. That person is told that: "It is better to choose as friends those who do not publicly display their homosexual feelings."
