OGDEN A Washington Terrace man arrested in an explosives scare has struck a plea deal with prosecutors.
Cody Wirick, 32, pleaded guilty Wednesday in 2nd District Court to a charge of recklessness with an incendiary device, a third-degree felony. In exchange, Weber County prosecutors dismissed a pair of drug charges.
Weber County sheriff's deputies said Wirick was arrested after authorities discovered bomb-making materials in his home on July 13. The find led to a brief evacuation of Wirick's neighborhood.
