Several companies that are based in Utah or have ties to the state reported quarterly financial results on Thursday.

Nu Skin

Provo-based Nu Skin Enterprises Inc. reported net income of $13.8 million, or 21 cents per share, for the quarter ended June 30. That compares with $14 million, or 20 cents per share, for the same quarter a year earlier.

Revenue totaled $287.2 million, up from $284.1 million a year earlier.

Nu Skin markets personal care products under the Nu Skin brand, nutritional supplements under the Pharmanex brand, and technology-based products and services under the Big Planet brand.

ClearOne

ClearOne Communications Inc., based in Salt Lake City, reported net income of $2.2 million, or 20 cents per share, for the fiscal 2007 fourth quarter ended June 30. That compares with a net loss of $512,000, or 4 cents per share, for the same quarter a year earlier.

Revenue totaled $11 million, up from $9.2 million.

For the full year, the company reported net income of $5.2 million, or 45 cents per share. That compares with $2.1 million, or 17 cents per share, for the previous year. Revenue totaled $39.9 million, up from $35.4 million.

ClearOne develops and sells audio conferencing systems and related products.

Evans & Sutherland

Evans & Sutherland Computer Corp., based in Salt Lake City, reported a net loss of $2.3 million, or 21 cents per share, for the quarter ended June 29. That compares with $3.8 million, or 35 cents per share, for the year-earlier period.

Sales totaled $6.5 million, up from $2.5 million.

Williams Cos.

Williams Cos., the biggest U.S. natural-gas transporter, reported second-quarter net income of $433.1 million on increased production of gas and oil and a surge in earnings from processing.

The net income was equivalent to 71 cents a share and compared with a net loss of $76 million, or 13 cents, in the second quarter of 2006, Williams, based in Tulsa, Okla., said in a statement. Revenue rose 27 percent to $2.82 billion.

Williams has its Northwest Pipeline operations based in Salt Lake City.
