All the medical tests are back, the two-year contract is signed, and Ronnie Price is officially on the Jazz roster for the 2008-08 season.
"Coming out of college, this is a team that I really wanted to play for. Now I'm back where I started," Price said Wednesday as he was re-introduced to the news media at Zion's Bank Basketball Center.
The newest Jazzman is from Texas, but the three years he spent at Utah Valley State College left him feeling like Utah was a second home.
"It's just great just to be a part of the community, and I'm really going to enjoy the fans and enjoy playing for coach (Jerry) Sloan," said Price, a 6-foot-2 combo guard who played the last two seasons in Sacramento, which rescinded an offer sheet it had given him last month, allowing the Jazz to sign him as an unrestricted free agent.
