• The Salt Lake County Council could wait until the first week of September to decide whether to put questions on the ballot to split the Granite and Jordan school districts.

• The Legislature's Local Issues Task Force is scheduled to discuss draft legislation today to equalize school construction costs.

• West-side city mayors are still deciding if and when to sue. They believe legislation allowing the formation of small school districts is unconstitutional under the 14th Amendment's guarantee of one man, one vote.

• The Holladay City Council is scheduled to vote Aug. 2 to recommend putting the Granite School District split question on the ballot.
