LINDON A three-car pile up that snagged northbound I-15 traffic Monday morning and sent two drivers to the hospital is being investigated to see if alcohol was a factor.
The driver of one car was allegedly driving fast and erratically before he slammed into the back of an SUV, said Utah Highway Patrol trooper Preston Raban.
The accident happened just after 11 a.m. at mile marker 274, near Lindon.
The SUV then plowed into a third vehicle, and the three cars blocked all northbound lanes for about five minutes until troopers arrived on the scene, Raban said.
A female driver was transported to the hospital in good condition, and a male driver was also transported to the hospital in slightly worse condition.
