So Lee Benson has added his two cents about the terrible religious bigotry directed against LDS presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Benson bemoans the fact that if he were to run for president, half of the American people would not vote for him simply because he is a Mormon. He has it easy! As an atheist, if I ran for president, polls indicate that 80 percent of Americans would automatically refuse to vote for me, including, I suspect, practically all members of the dominant religion in Utah. However, I am not going to hold my breath until Benson condemns this type of blatant religious bigotry.
