OREM Police arrested two teenage boys Thursday after they were caught in an unlocked car, stealing an iPod Nano.
A 19-year-old Orem man saw two 15-year-old boys inside his Jeep Wrangler stealing the iPod, said Orem Police Lt. Douglas Edwards. The car owner began to chase the two boys while his father called the police. While they were being chased, the youths dropped the iPod and damaged it.
When police intercepted the boys, they said they were checking cars for unlocked doors, Edwards said. Police booked the two teens into the Slate Canyon Youth Detention Center for investigation of auto burglary and theft.
