PROVO Brigham Young University nutrition professor Merrill Christensen will speak Tuesday at the school's weekly devotional.
Christensen's 11:05 a.m. address, "Comparing, Competing and Individual Worth," will be broadcast live from the Joseph Smith Building Auditorium on the BYU Broadcasting channels.

In addition to his role as a professor of nutrition, dietetics and food science, Christensen also serves as the associate director of the BYU Cancer Research Center. His particular research specialty is in investigating the connection between diet and cancer risk.
Christensen has taught at BYU since 1982 and was named a John A. Widtsoe Fellow in 2000.
Prior to joining BYU's faculty, he earned his doctorate in nutritional biochemistry and metabolism from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
