Boaters gather Tuesday at the Jordan River near Raging Waters for the Days of '47 Canoe Parade. The event started with canoe decorating at 7 a.m., and the float down the river started at 9. Boaters brought their own canoes or used those provided by the Great Salt Lakekeeper group. The group is also offering free river canoe tours Aug. 1 and 14. Call Jeff Salt at 485-2550 for information.
