Brigham Young

ACADEMICS: The American Volleyball Coaches Association has named BYU is one of a record 55 NCAA Division I volleyball programs to receive the Game Plan/AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2006-07 season. The award honors college and high school teams that maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average. The Cougars' team GPA was 3.48.

Utah Valley

ACADEMICS: Following up its most successful season on the court, the Utah Valley women's basketball team is made its mark off the court as well. The team finished in the top 25 academically with a 3.298 team GPA. "To be recognized as one of the top 25 academic teams is a tremendous accomplishment. I am very proud of our team for their commitment in the classroom," said head coach Cathy Nixon.

Weber State

VOLLEYBALL: The Weber State volleyball team has been honored as one of 55 NCAA Division I teams to receive the Game Plan/AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2006-07 season. The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors college and high school teams that displayed excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale and a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale during the school year. Weber State posted a 3.38 cumulative GPA for the year.
