S. Ogden man arrested in sex abuse of a child

SOUTH OGDEN — Police have arrested a man on suspicion of child sex abuse.

Police said the girl, whose age officers did not release Thursday, disclosed that she had been sexually abused by the 32-year-old man numerous times between April and July of this year.

"It's an ongoing investigation," said South Ogden police officer Marci Edwards.

Chad Lewis Furgeson, 32, was booked into the Weber County Jail early Wednesday morning on investigation of seven counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, a first-degree felony.
