VERNAL Forest Service officials have lifted restrictions at a pair of campgrounds after bear sightings.
The restrictions on tents were lifted Friday for the Moon Lake and Brownie Lake campgrounds in the Ashley National Forest.
"Through working with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, we are comfortable that the restrictions are no longer necessary to ensure public safety," Ashley National Forest Supervisor Kevin Elliott said in a statement Friday. "However, I would like to remind all campers they share the forest with many animals and to keep a clean camp that will not attract unwanted visitors."
