Another second-year player, Ronnie Brewer, added: "I'm proud of him. I wish him the best, his daughter the best, his family the best. He's a first-class guy. He meant a lot to our team."

BREWER BETTER: Brewer practiced for the first time Wednesday night and again on Thursday and said he hoped his sore hamstring will be 100 percent for tonight's Revue opener. He hurt it earlier this summer in training and reinjured it Monday in the first Revue practice. "I don't think I'm 100 percent, but I'm close to it," he said, adding he's "just trying to get my confidence back, my conditioning back."

TV REVUE: All Jazz games from the Rocky Mountain Revue that starts today will be broadcast live starting at 7 p.m. on KJZZ-TV Ch. 14. The 4:30 p.m. games each day of the Revue will be shown tape-delayed starting July 18 on NBA TV, which will also run the Jazz games about five days after they've been played.

MORE FISH: Fisher was in Los Angeles on Wednesday for ESPN's 2007 Espy Awards, nominated in the "Best Moment" category for the emotional May 9 playoff game when he returned in the third quarter following his daughter's eye surgery in New York and eventually hit a 3-pointer in overtime against Golden State. The New Orleans Saints won the category for their first Superdome home game following Hurricane Katrina.

Due to his daughter's health, Fisher, first vice president of the players' association, did not accompany as planned other organization officers to Kenya to distribute 11 million pounds of rice in their "Feeding One Million" campaign.
