The Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum on Thursday announced winners of its 2007 "Top 25 Under Five" Awards, spotlighting outstanding entrepreneurs from across the state.

Salt Lake-based online retail foreign exchange broker Interbank FX was named the number one performer among the award recipients, which were recognized at ceremonies held at the Novell Provo campus.

"These businesses represent the spirit of entrepreneurship and a vision for success that sets the mark for others to follow," said Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. in a prepared statement.

Competing companies are judged based on profit, growth, equity funding, job creation and job quality.

"Utah continues to be a fertile field of opportunity for entrepreneurs," said Mark Lund, chairman of the UVEF board, in a prepared statement. "Top 25 Under Five Award winners are just a sampling of the terrific companies on 'the grow' in this great state."
