LOGAN The Cache Valley Visitors Bureau has launched a food crawl, a behind-the-scenes tour of how coffee is roasted, bread is made and berries are grown in northern Utah.
"There is growing interest in agricultural tourism and food production, and this is an effort to capitalize on the resources we have here in Cache Valley," said Julie Hollist, director of the visitors bureau.
"We live in a unique region because we're not limited to one type of food produced here," she said.
At Caffe Ibis in Logan, guests can learn the steps in coffee roasting. People can watch how bread is made at Crumb Brothers Bakery.
Other stops include Aggie Ice Cream at Utah State University, Bluebird Candy Co. in Logan and Weeks Berries in Paradise. For times and locations, call 435-755-1890.
