Salt Lake Community College will hold a science camp for children ages 11-14 Monday through Thursday, July 16-19, at the Redwood Campus, 4600 Redwood Road. Classes run from 8 a.m. to noon each day with an open house Thursday from noon-2 p.m.
Participants will build a robot and program it, learn about sustainability and build a working windmill, learn about light and take and develop photos using a camera they build.
Each student will learn about DNA while processing his or her own sample. Snacks are served each day, and pizza will be served during the open house.
Tuition for the camp is $125. Call 957-4827 to register.
