2 administrators are replaced at Mountainland Applied Technology College

OREM — Mountainland Applied Technology College has hired J. Ken Pierce as vice president of student services and Mark Walker as the vice president of operations and facilities.

Pierce replaces Walker as vice president of student services and Walker replaces Lionel Blau, who is retiring after 10 years with MATC.

The MATC was founded in 1991 to teach vocational skills and offer associate degree training mostly to high school students.

It is part of the Utah College of Applied Technology and serves 19 high schools in Alpine, Nebo, Provo, Wasatch, Park City, North Summit and South Summit school districts.
