PROVO For the next 12 months, the Rev. Dean Jackson, of Provo's Rock Canyon Assembly of God, will be the face of Rotary in Utah as he assumes the role of district governor.
This is a visible assignment, given that Utah recently hosted 17,000 Rotarians from around the world at the Rotary 2007 International Convention, held in Salt Lake City last month.
As district governor, the Rev. Jackson will be responsible for coordinating the activities of 44 Rotary clubs in the state, with a membership of 2,125.
The Rev. Jackson succeeds outgoing governor Gene Banks, who also chaired the host committee for the 2007 convention.
