ARUP Blood Services is seeking to increase donors by partnering with Utah company ClearPlay and entering all who donate during July and August to win a 42-inch plasma television.

ARUP also plans a "Donate for Life" community blood drive to be held on Wednesday at the Wells Fargo Building, 299 S. Main in Salt Lake City, on the 23rd floor from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. NordicTrack will give away fitness equipment to one donor at the drive. Meadow Gold will be giving free ice cream coupons to each donor, and Panache Catering will provide a free lunch at 11 a.m.

Donors can also come to Building 580 at the University of Utah Research Park, 500 Chipeta Way (2320 East) between the hours of 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. ARUP has another blood donation location in Murray at 5201 S. Green St., just off the Interstate 15 5300 South exit.

ARUP Blood Services needs 100 donors per day to meet the demand of the hospitals it serves. The four hospitals ARUP Blood Services supplies in Utah use around 25 percent of the blood transfused in the entire state.

For more information on directions and locations, visit the service's Web site www.utahblood.org/where/Where.htm.
