Dee Brown plans to return at least for summer league.
So the Jazz's No. 3 point guard from last season blogs on his Web site.
"As you heard Utah (offered) me a deal, so now I'm preparing to go back out there and play summer league with them out in Utah," Brown wrote. "I'm excited because (I'm) going to get a lot of minutes at the point so I can show not only the Jazz but other teams that I can really play this game and run the point guard position."
The Jazz extended a qualifying offer of at least $862,456 for next season to Brown last Friday, making him a restricted free agent. He remains free to negotiate with other teams, though Utah retains the right to match any offer he receives.
NBA free agents aren't permitted to formalize contracts until late Tuesday night.
But Brown, who suffered a badly sprained neck when teammate Mehmet Okur fell on him during the recently concluded NBA postseason, suggested he'll be with the Jazz when they open training camp Monday for this month's Rocky Mountain Revue.
"I'm really excited because I'm in good shape and feeling real good," he blogged. "I'm blessed just to be here, blessed to walk after the incident that happened in the playoffs.
"I still have my place down in Utah so when I go back I have a place to relax, focus and stay on top of my game," he added. "I really enjoy Utah. (It's) clean, peaceful, and I have everything down there; great weather, great facilities, and (it's) a place where I'm just focused on ... basketball and getting better everyday."
Brown didn't say where he'll play next season.
"I'm praying," he wrote, "that I end up with a team I love and enjoy playing with, and a team that (fits) my style of play."
REVUE SCHEDULE: The Jazz on Tuesday released the full seven-team, 16-game schedule of Revue games to be played at Salt Lake Community College.
Utah will play Atlanta on July 13, Philadelphia on July 14, San Antonio on July 16, Seattle on July 17, Atlanta again on July 19 and Chicago on July 20.
All Jazz games are scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
Dallas also has a Revue entry but won't play Utah this year. No Revue games will be held on July 15 or July 18.
