USOC GETTING TOUGHER: The U.S. Olympic Committee will take a more aggressive approach with its anti-doping strategy, putting more emphasis on testing athletes in high-risk sports such as track and cycling, increasing unannounced testing and pumping more money into research.

Not satisfied with progress being made in the increasingly high-profile fight against doping, the USOC signed a new agreement with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency through 2010 that gives the USOC a more active role in expanding research.

WIMBLEDON SECURITY: Vehicle blockers were set up in front of gates to the All England Club on Sunday as part of efforts to tighten security at Wimbledon after two foiled car bombings in London and a fiery attack on Glasgow's airport.

Tournament organizers already had stepped up measures in recent days, including more stringent searches of bags carried by people onto the grounds.

"As a result of recent events in London and Glasgow, and further to our own discussions with the police and other authorities, as well as taking into consideration the generally higher security alert level in London and across the country, we have been advised by the police to adopt extra security measures to protect the areas of most risk," All England Club chief executive Ian Ritchie said Sunday.

ALI COMPOUND FOR SALE: Muhammad Ali's former training camp in Deer Lake, Pa., is headed for an online auction.

The 18-building complex in rural Schuylkill County is set to go on sale Monday on eBay and will be up for bid for 30 days, said George Dillman, a former Ali sparring partner who bought the camp from him 10 years ago.

Ali opened the camp in 1972 when he was trying to rebound from a loss to Joe Frazier in the "Fight of the Century." After building the log cabin-style gym, Ali built cabins for his wife, parents and sparring partners, as well as a mosque for daily worship.

SAKATA WINS WBA TITLE: Takefumi Sakata of Japan won the WBA flyweight title Sunday with a unanimous decision over Roberto Vasquez.

Sakata used a barrage of punches to the head in the late rounds and was never seriously challenged in the 12-round bout at Ariake Colosseum. The three judges scored the fight 115-113, 116-112 and 116-112.

Sakata improved to 31-4-1 with 15 KOs. Vasquez dropped to 24-2 with 17 KOs.

RAPIDS, FIRE DRAW: Matt Pickens made four saves for Chicago to help interim Fire coach Denis Hamlett earn a 0-0 tie with the Colorado Rapids on Sunday night.

The Rapids (4-7-4) ended a five-game losing streak.

Up a man after Bakary Soumare was sent off in the 83rd minute for shoving Colin Clark to the ground, Colorado misfired on two shots in stoppage time. Roberto Brown hit the crossbar half a minute before the final whistle and Dan Gargan sent a shot wide right. Ivan Guerrero's shot in the 89th went over the net.

Clark was shown a yellow for his role in the altercation.

In other MLS action, Toronto FC and Kansas City played to a 1-1 tie.
