Mount Pleasant's eighth-annual Old Fashioned Soap Box Derby is Wednesday (the Fourth of July) at the top of State and Main about 1:30 p.m., following the Independence Day parade.
Participation is limited to the first 24 cars to register (John McClellan, 435-462-3808).
The Soap Box Derby will be followed at 3:30 p.m. by the Rubber Duck Derby. Ducks for the race can be purchased at local businesses now, or Wednesday at the State and Main duck booth.
