Miss Provo Pageant is Saturday afternoon

PROVO — The Miss Provo Scholarship Pageant will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Center Street Musical Theatre, 177 W. Center.

The Miss Provo Pageant, now in its 37th year, features talented and community-minded young women who are working on a service project of their choice and are willing to serve as a good-will ambassador for the city of Provo.

Nine women will vie for the crown.

Areas of competition in the pageant include talent, interview, physical fitness and evening wear. Provo Mayor Lewis K. Billings will crown the new Miss Provo and award scholarships to the outgoing Miss Provo and her attendants.

Tickets for the pageant are $8 at the door.
