Salt Lake-based Extra Space Storage Inc. said Tuesday it has closed on 12 of the 13 self-storage facilities involved in its agreement with various limited partnerships affiliated with AAAAA Rent-A-Space. Extra Space expects to close the acquisition of the remaining self-storage facility in mid-July, it said.
Eleven of the properties are located in the Bay Area of northern California and two are in Hawaii. They feature about 14,700 self-storage units. Extra Space will operate the 13 properties as 10 because some are in close proximity to others.
