Salt Lake student is among 38 Point scholars

Kim Hackford-Peer, Salt Lake City, is recipient of a scholarship from Point Foundation, a group granting scholarships to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students. She is one of 38 2007 Point scholars.

Hackford-Peer is pursuing her Ph.D. in education, culture and society at the University of Utah. She teaches multicultural education and is writing her dissertation on the pedagogical decisions of gay teachers. She earned a master's degree in social justice education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
