KAYSVILLE State and local transportation officials are holding a Transportation Expo Wednesday in Davis County to inform residents about various road and transit projects now under construction and also plans for future projects.
It's being touted as a "one-stop shopping" event, with representatives from the Utah Department of Transportation, Utah Transit Authority and Wasatch Front Regional Council. City officials will also be present.
The meeting will be held at Davis High School, 325 S. Main. A public presentation is scheduled from 2 to 3 p.m. and an open house from 3 to 9 p.m. Projects that will be highlighted include the following:
Legacy Parkway, South Layton Interchange
Commuter rail and South Davis transit.
Draft Transportation Improvement Plan
"If residents are wondering when commuter rail will open, what UDOT's plans for Legacy Parkway are or have any other transportation questions, we encourage them to attend the Expo," Cory Pope, UDOT Region 1 Director said in a statement. "We have worked together with UTA and the WFRC to provide a 'one-stop-shopping' event."
