OREM Janette Beckham has been elected chairwoman of the Utah Valley State College board of trustees.
The board of trustees meets monthly to oversee the college's academic programs and day-to-day operations and advances proposals to the governor-appointed Utah State Board of Regents.
Also elected to the executive committee of the trustees are Tim Clark as vice chairman and Doyle Mortimer as secretary.
Beckham replaces Dan Campbell. However, Campbell will remain a trustee. Karen Acerson and Ron Dallin completed their service as trustees and have been replaced by Steve Lund, vice chairman of the board of directors for NuSkin Enterprises, and Terry Shoemaker, superintendent of Wasatch School District.
