OREM UVSC's rodeo team placed second at the Collegiate National Finals Rodeo, beating competitors from more than 100 schools.
UVSC's team came into the National Finals as Rocky Mountain Region Champions among colleges in Utah and Idaho.
The finals were recently held in Caspar, Wyo. Taylor White, Richfield, took second place all-around and third place in bull riding.
Budd Munns, Tremonton, took second place in bareback riding.
Lana Bingham, Heber City, competed in goat-tying and was named the Walt Garrison award winner, earning a $5,000 scholarship and notable belt buckle. Bingham is a student regional director for the National Collegiate Rodeo Association for the Rocky Mountain Region.
