"Like I said, I missed it, especially playoff time. Those are the times you enjoy the most," he added. "The atmosphere is a lot better. It's a lot more physical ... It's what makes the game fun."
Ostertag played 11 NBA seasons, all but one in Utah.
ARAUJO CAMPING: According to a news release, Jazz center and BYU product Rafael Araujo will be among the instructors at a charity basketball camp held July 11-13 at Open Court in Lehi.
Proceeds from the camp for participants ages 8-18 will benefit the YouthLift program, which aids students with significant learning disabilities.
Also scheduled to instruct are BYU product Andy Toolson, who played 60 regular-season games for the Jazz during the 1990s; ex-BYU star Travis Hansen, who played for the NBA's Atlanta Hawks and now plays in Russia; and several other former BYU players.
Cost is $85, or $95 after July 3.
