Two American Indian events are scheduled this weekend in the region. The 13th annual Native American Celebration is all day Sunday at Liberty Park, and the Heber Valley Powwow and Mountain Man Rendezvous is today-Sunday at Soldier Hollow, Midway.
The Liberty Park event, including food booths, arts and crafts, entertainment and fireworks, is free of charge. Visitors should bring their own lawn chairs.
The Heber Valley Powwow features a "grand entry" competition at 1 and 6 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday, plus an array of demonstrations and booths. Admission is $5 and hours are 6-10 p.m. today, 1-10 p.m. Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday.
