Two suspects accused of lying to a federal grand jury and authorities about the 1995 disappearance of Kiplyn Davis have had trial dates set.

Trials for Christopher Neal Jeppson and David Rucker Leifson have been scheduled for later this year. Jeppson's trial is set to begin Sept. 4, and Leifson's trial is scheduled for Nov. 5. Both men have been charged with multiple counts of perjury and lying to law enforcement about what they know of Davis' disappearance.

Police say 15-year-old Davis vanished from Spanish Fork High School on May 2, 1995, and has not been seen since. She is presumed dead.

The mystery of the girl's disappearance lingered for many years until a federal investigation unveiled what prosecutors have called a conspiracy of silence among some of Davis' peers.

Five men were eventually indicted on charges of perjury. Among them, Timmy Brent Olsen, was convicted by a jury of 15 counts of perjury and sentenced to 12 years in federal prison. Currently Olsen is also charged with murder in state court in connection to the Davis case.

Two other men, Garry Von Blackmore and Scott Brunson, have pleaded guilty in federal court and are awaiting sentencing. Both men struck plea deals and agreed to testify against others in the case.

If convicted, Jeppson and Leifson face up to 30 years in prison for each count.
