TOOELE A former high school administrator convicted of having sex with two students has been released from jail early.
Leslie Baird was released after her attorney petitioned a 3rd District Court judge on Tuesday to place her in the custody of Adult Probation and Parole. Baird will live with her grandmother and will have to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet on her ankle.
The judge ordered Baird to have no contact with the victims and to abide by the terms of her probation.
Baird, 42, was convicted of forcible sex abuse and sentenced to a year in jail for her role in a sexual affair with two students at Tooele High School. Prosecutors said Baird was chaperoning a school dance in 2006 when she met up with the 17- and 18-year-old boys at a convenience store afterward.
After the sexual encounters, prosecutors said Baird sent a text message to one of the young men. A parent saw it and alerted authorities.
