PROVO Habitat for Humanity of Utah County seeks families to participate in its homeownership program.
Program orientation sessions will be today and Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Community Action Services, 815 S. Freedom Blvd.
At orientation participants will learn more about the program, how to qualify and receive an application. Those interested in applying for the program must attend one of the orientation sessions. Habitat for Humanity of Utah County is a non-profit, ecumenical organization and is one of more than 2,100 affiliates of Habitat for Humanity International.
Affiliated in 1991 by a group of community members concerned about substandard housing in the county, the organization has built 25 homes, providing more than 39 adults and 87 children safe and affordable housing.
The affiliate is building in Provo with plans to build and rehabilitate three additional homes by the end of the year.
