BOISE Kenneth Brewer of Timpview High, Provo, will receive a $55,000 scholarship as the top awardee in the Micron Science and Technology Scholars program.
Another Timpview High student, Laura Lassetter, will receive a $16,500 scholarship as part of the same program.
Brewer, the top 2007 Micron scholarship awardee, plans to study chemistry at Harvard University. Lassetter plans to study chemistry at Brigham Young University.
Scholarships are awarded annually to 13 students from Colorado, Idaho, Texas, Utah, and Virginia. Micron also gives each student's high school a $1,000 grant for science and technology program.
