Tax-Free Fund for Utah plans annual meet Friday

The Tax-Free Fund for Utah, a municipal bond mutual fund, will hold its annual meeting at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Little America Hotel, 500 S. Main in Salt Lake City. The meeting is open to the public.

Speakers will include state Sen. Lyle Hillyard, R-Logan; Diana Herrman, president of the Tax-Free Fund for Utah and Aquila Management Corp., the fund's sponsor and manager; and Kimball Young, co-portfolio manager of the fund.

The Tax-Free Fund for Utah, which is locally managed, is part of the Aquila Group of Funds, which includes municipal bond funds, a regional stock fund and money market funds. Some of the Tax-Free Fund's Utah holdings include Salt Lake City International Airport, the University of Utah and Utah Transit Authority.
