The Bells on Temple Square and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir will be holding auditions in July.
Both choirs are looking for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in good standing who live within a 100-mile radius of Temple Square. The Bells on Temple Square has openings for male ringers between the ages of 20 and 45. Applications may be requested by calling the choir office at 801-240-4150. Auditions will be held in July and consist of a music examination one night and a performance examination with the bell choir the next night.
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir is looking for singers of all vocal parts, but especially men and first sopranos who are between the ages of 25 and 55. Audition materials will be available at www.mormontabernaclechoir.org/auditions/choir July 1-10. Candidates for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir must first serve in the Temple Square Chorale.
Applications will also be available by calling the choir office at 801-240-4150 during these dates. Completed applications, including a recorded cassette or CD, will need to be postmarked by July 31, 2007. No in-person drop-offs will be accepted.
