PROVO A documentary that sheds light on the growing problem of drug abuse in Utah on June 10 was awarded the grand prize at the 2007 Breckenridge Film Festival in Colorado.
The film "Happy Valley" follows the lives of several Utah residents dramatically affected by prescription drug abuse, street drug abuse and addiction. The film was created by Utah businessman Ron Williams.
Cultural issues such as denial, conformity, social pressure and guilt are explored as Williams chronicles the emotional journeys of the individuals and families featured in the film.
