Interested parties are encouraged to submit concerns and recommendations. The deadline for issues and recommendations is June 25.

Comments can be e-mailed to PLANSCOMMENT@utah.gov. They can also be mailed to Utah State Parks/Planning Section, P.O. Box 146001, 1594 W. North Temple, Suite 116, Salt Lake City, UT 84114-6001.

View bald eagles

Those interested in viewing two adult bald eagles and their two baby eaglets can do so during free Watchable Wildlife field trips near the southeast shore of the Great Salt Lake.

The field trips will be offered June 21 and 23.

Trips will leave at 6 p.m. each evening from the Department of Natural Resources, 1594 W. North Temple in Salt Lake City. There is no cost to participate, but reservations are required. To reserve a spot call Bob Walters, Watchable Wildlife program coordinator for the Division of Wildlife Resources, at 801-538-4771.

Participants will follow Walters in their vehicles, traveling on mostly paved roads to the viewing site. Some spotting scopes and binoculars will be available.
