HOLLADAY — It was deja vu all over again at the 2007 Heart of Holladay 5K Classic, with Teren Jameson, 30, taking home the crown yet again. The only drama was whether or not Jameson would break his own course record for fastest time of 14 minutes and 56 seconds. He came close but couldn't quite get there, posting a time of 15 minutes even. He still won the race by 52 seconds.

"This year I was trying to run faster than I did last year," said Jameson, "so I just went out really hard."

Dennis Simonaitis, 44, took home second, posting a time of 15:52. Nathan Hornock, 29, came in third with a time of 16:02.

The reason for a slightly slower time for Jameson this year may be due to weaker competition compared to last year.

"I was a couple seconds slower, but I didn't have the competition I had last year," said Jameson. "It's easier to run faster when you have someone (challenging you) as opposed to running by yourself."

Jameson has pretty much owned this race in years past. In fact, he doesn't even know how many in a row he's won.

"I don't remember," Jameson said.

He may not remember, but this year's victory was an impressive fourth straight for Jameson. He now hopes his dominance in the Holladay 5K can propel him to bigger and better things; he's preparing for the U.S. Olympic trials in the fall. Jameson plans to come back next year and try for his fifth straight in the Holladay 5K.

Carre Joyce, 25, won the women's division with a time of 17 minutes and 53 seconds. The former Villanova runner beat the next close female by 23 seconds. "I wanted to go out there and run a good race and break 18 minutes," said Joyce.

Carol Rowe, 35, finished second with a time of 18:16. Julie Thomas, 35, took third with a time of 18:40.

Joyce said she was coming off a break, after running two marathons recently: the Salt Lake Marathon and the U.S. National Championships in Michigan. She's starting to train again for the upcoming St. George Marathon, and this shorter race was the perfect way to start her preparations.

"I wanted to have a good race and get back into it," she said.

Just like Jameson, Joyce plans to be back next year to defend her title.

In other results, Dennis Simonaitis won the men's Masters Division, age 40-plus. Michelle Simonaitis, 41, won the women's Masters Division with a time of 18:51.

BYU-haters need to find a recipe for Crow stew. How does it taste?

Wow, what a great game on both sides of the ball. Another nail-biter.

Hall and Bronco have played this game without any guts. In the final play...

Congrats to the defense, and to Andrew George. Hall - unbelievably pathetic.

I am a WOT nut and I found the book to be pretty boring overall. I found it...

I want to know more about the book. Why was this review so short? Next time...

Gilbert Arenas is overrated.

It's time for BYU to find another head coach.
