Dog park under way

Design plans are being finalized and construction planning is progressing toward beginning work on the development of a Cottonwood Heights community dog park, located in the triangle formed by the intersection of 3500 East and Wasatch Boulevard.

The planned park will occupy the entire two acres and will be developed so that the current wetland will not be disturbed. Storm drain enhancement is part of the plan. Construction is scheduled to begin in late fall with a target completion date of spring 2008.

The successful "Bark in the Park" held last year will be reprised this summer. Volunteers are needed to help with planning and presentation of the event.
